Staff unite to give back this Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month

Staff members from Bankstown Sports Club and its associated venues recently came together to volunteer at Escabags headquarters, supporting a vital cause during Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month in May.

The team spent the day helping to pack "Escape Bags," which will be distributed to organisations across the community.

Thoughtfully handmade by dedicated volunteers, each bag is carefully filled with essential items to support individuals and their children who are leaving dangerous or abusive situations, ensuring they have immediate access to practical support during a critical time.

During the visit, staff also had the opportunity to hear directly from Escabags founder, Stacy, learning about the inspiring story behind the organisation and the profound impact these bags have on recipients.

This firsthand insight deepened their understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing domestic and family violence, as well as the importance of community-driven support.

Bankstown Sports and its associated venues are proud to be stockists of Escabags, which are available to those in need at no cost.

The experience not only highlighted the meaningful role Bankstown Sports plays as a stockist but also reinforced the value of staff volunteering in creating positive, tangible change.
