We raised over $24k for youth mental health!
On Thursday 16 April, a group of enthusiastic Bankstown Sports team members took part in the Canterbury Bankstown Mayor’s 24-Hour Challenge.
This event brought the community together to walk or run laps around The Crest Athletics Track in Bass Hill - for 24 hours straight – as a symbol of strength and connection, in support of mental health.
The Bankstown Sports team raised money for Charlotte’s Wish, an incredible charity dedicated to improving young people’s mental health and working to eliminate bullying.
The organisation was created in memory of Charlotte, who tragically lost her life after enduring bullying.
As a community, the effort was nothing short of inspiring, with an incredible 18,199 laps completed over the 24 hours!
A special mention to Bankstown Sports staff member Chris Briody, who achieved an extraordinary 100km run and raised $19,051, smashing his original $5,000 goal.
Bankstown Sports Club has raised $24,431 for Charlotte’s Wish — a fantastic result driven by teamwork, generosity, and community spirit.
Thank you to everyone involved for making a meaningful difference.
