Braxton Burrough may only be 4 years old, but he is stealing the hearts of everyone at Bankstown Golf Club with his tiny clubs and mighty swing! 

In 2022, he became the youngest member of the club after mum and dad saw potential in his ability. And they would know… his dad happens to be Bankstown Golf Club’s Golf Coach, John Burrough. 

John says his son is proof that age is just a number. 

“Brax is showing everyone that age is no barrier to passion, especially when it comes to golf”. 

Braxton says his favourite thing about being a member of the golf club is being able to play golf with his mum and dad. 

“And to ride the golf cart! 

“I want to be a professional golfer like my dad – only a much better player. Or a doctor, like my grandma”. 

Bankstown Golf Club offers fantastic junior programs through the Bankstown Junior Golf Academy, which provides a carefully structured multi-phase model that caters for all ages and abilities.  

John and the team of coaches are dedicated to helping children getting started in the sport, building their skills and most importantly, having fun.
