communitynews | 7 Jun 2023 |

A huge congratulations to Bankstown Sports Junior Rugby League player Khaled Rajab who made his NRL debut for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on 4 June 2023 against the Sydney Roosters, in Gosford.

Khaled joined Bankstown Sports JRL at the age of four and instantly fell in love with the game.

In his teenage years, he was recruited by the Bulldogs to play in their Under 16s Harold Matthews Cup side before moving into the Under 19s S.G. Ball Cup side.

In 2021, he was named SG Ball Player of the Year.

In 2022, he captained the Canterbury-Bulldogs Jersey Flegg team and also played four games in the NSW Cup, including the Bulldogs Grand Final loss against the Penrith Panthers.

In 2022, he also represented Lebanon in the Rugby League World Cup, playing games against Ireland, Jamaica and Australia, and scoring a try.

Khaled was paired with Mitchell Moses in the halves who said at the time - “I think he has a massive future in the game. He is a great kid and brings a lot of energy”.

Khaled Joined the Bulldogs NRL squad in the 2023 pre-season before making his debut in Round 14.
