Bankstown Sports has taken a significant step towards reducing waste and aiding those in need, generously donating over 40 pieces of furniture and hundreds of sets of plates to people in need.

The storage spaces at Bankstown Sports were filling up with unused furniture and crockery, much of which was in good condition, so the club made the commitment to pass on these items to local charity ReLove, which will distribute these to those in need.

ReLove is a safe place for people in crisis to shop for everything they need to furnish their new home and are providing new home furnishings for around 15 families per week. It has also saved well over 2250 tonnes of waste from ending up in landfill.

Bankstown Sports encourages anyone considering a spring clean to consider donating their preloved items to ReLove to give back to community and reduce environmental waste.
