Canterbury-Bankstown has always been an area rich in grassroots sports, including athletics for all age groups. Bankstown Sports has been a proud supporter of the Bankstown Sports Senior Athletics Club and Bankstown Sports Little Athletics Club for many years, which were operating as separate entities while training alongside each other at The Crest Sporting Complex.

Unfortunately, in October 2019, the BSC Little Athletics Club was forced to dissolve leaving more than 250 members without a club to call home.

This was incredibly disheartening for the senior group which relied on local juniors moving through age groups to transition over to their club.

So, the senior athletics club decided to absorb the Little Athletics program, with all athletes to be part of the one overarching governing body. After several months of planning, the new Bankstown Sports Athletics Club (BSAC) was born!

The Bankstown Sports Club are extremely proud to have supported over $100k in the 2021-22 ClubGRANTS year to help facilitate the purchase of much needed Little Athletics equipment as well as world-class facilities such as a Gymnasium and Rest and Recovery room to support the development of our young athletes.
