Bankstown Sports Club is raising funds for the Children’s Medical Research Institute through the ‘Jeans for Genes’ campaign. 1 in 20 kids face a birth defect or genetic disease like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and metabolic disorders. That's 12 kids born every minute worldwide.
Why Jeans for Genes?
Adam Sharpe, a friend of the Club, shared the heartfelt story of his daughter Alessia, who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Thanks to a revolutionary gene therapy, Alessia is now a joyful seven-year-old.
On Thursday 7th August, Bankstown Sports are encouraging all staff to wear their favourite pair of jeans to work and make a donation.
