On Thursday 18 June, Bankstown Sports Club joined representatives from clubs around the state to celebrate the incredible impact our industry has on the community, at the 2026 Clubs & Community Awards.

We were proud to be a finalist in six categories:

Fostering Grassroots Sport – celebrating our investment in the Box Hill Hockey Field and supporting the growth of the game in the Hills District.

Healthcare – focusing on our commitment to addressing homelessness in our community through our partnership with Dignity.

Mental Wellbeing – looking at our support of Lifeline through raffles, in-kind support, and fundraising through an annual Golf Day.

Social Inclusion – highlighting our partnership with Disability Sports Australia to make sport more accessible for everyone in our community.

Vibrancy & Culture – showcasing our 9-year partnership with the Lebanese Film Festival and how the event has grown into one of the highlights in the club calendar.

Heart of the Community – celebrating the dedication of Houda Hamze, one of our incredible volunteers from the Bankstown Sports Stars Football Club.

Although we didn’t pick up any awards this year, we are proud of everything our clubs and our people have achieved over the past year.
