Movies for a good cause

On Monday, 10 April, Bankstown Sports will host a movie fundraiser session to raise money for Mahboba’s Promise, an Australian not-for-profit organisation that helps disadvantaged women and children in Afghanistan.

It was founded in 1998 by Mahboba Rawi, an Afghan refugee and now Australian citizen, who has experienced the first-hand effects of a country torn apart by war and civil unrest. The charity helps to care for Afghan women and orphans and has also established schools, shelters and health care clinics across Afghanistan.
