Do Something Day. ClubsNSW, Bankstown Sports Club
Do Something Day is a charity event which began in 2016, designed to bring people together through random acts of kindness. Bankstown Sports and other clubs around NSW took part in the day, undertaking various activities to bring a smile to people’s faces, while promoting a sense of community and belonging. Our staff ran a perishable food drive for the Salvation Army, Bankstown and we held fundraiser movie sessions in The Theatre for selected community groups.
This year, Do Something Day will be held on Wednesday, 19 July, and we’re planning something a little different.
To encourage conversation, interaction and connection throughout the community, we want people to bring a loved one, friend, neighbour or someone who may need a chat, into the club for a coffee or treat on us.
We’ll be offering $5 vouchers to use at any of our bars and restaurants, and Monkey Mania play centre, between 10am-4pm on 19 July, so you can spend a few hours with someone special.
Simply come to the main reception of the club and see our Do Something Day attendants to claim your voucher. 1 voucher per person, per day. You must come to the club to physically redeem your prize. Limited to first 1000 redemptions. Management discretion applies. Normal club policy applies. Only valid at Bankstown Sports Club on Wednesday, 19 July 2017.
Everyone who attends Do Something Day at Bankstown Sports Club can also go in the draw to win one of five $100 dining vouchers! Simply collect an entry form when you pick up your $5 voucher, tell us who you brought in for coffee and share your story to go in the draw.
