For the month on September, the Basement Brewhouse will be serving the Bring Back The Beef burger featuring pulled beef, battered jalapeño, onion strips, smokey BBQ sauce, Swiss cheese, sliced pickles and slaw served on a fresh milk bun with shoe string fries and a pint of a Basement Brewhouse beer.
The Basement Brewhouse sources their beef from a farm on the North-West coast of Tasmania. The area is known for its rich agriculture, cool climate and abundant rainfall. The cows are fed a grass-only diet and are free from antibiotics and added hormones, which guarantees a pure and natural beef flavour.
The beef for this special burger is marinated in a dry rub before being cooked on a low temperature for 48 hours. Once the meat is tender, it is pulled by hand and prepared for the burgers.
The Bring Back The Beef has a unique kick of spice with battered jalapenos, which are deep fried to enhance the sweetness of the pepper whilst remaining the zing of flavour.
We recommend pairing the Bring Back The Beef with the Basement Brewhouse Coffee Porter on tap 8. Using freshly roasted coffee from Cornerstone Coffee & Kitchen, we created a batch of cold brew to add to our Porter. Smooth aromas of coffee and cacao, paired with the caramel and toffee from the malt, come together to complement each other and will balance perfectly with the flavours of the slow cooked beef.
The Bring Back The Beef is only available in the Basement Brewhouse until 30 September 2018.
