Bankstown Sports has hosted its first progressive dinner, taking a savvy group of food bloggers on a culinary tour of the club’s many restaurants and bars.
The event was run in conjunction with restaurant search and discovery company, Zomato, which helps people discover great places to eat, and shares new and interesting dining experiences with its followers. Bankstown Sports Club’s restaurants and bars have a very large following on the Zomato app, with members and guests enjoying the most up-to-date information on eateries around Sydney, and the world.
Six food bloggers, some with over 20,000 followers on Instagram, all met at Atrium Bar to begin the evening. They were greeted by a tapas selection of chicken wings, Peking duck sliders, dumplings and cheeses and a range of cocktails, to wet the appetite.
The group then moved to La Piazza where Stuzzichino provided a range of delicious seafood and vegetarian entrée dishes for everyone to sample, before our fine dining restaurant, Platform 1, served up the first main course. Diners were offered beef wellington, pork belly, rib-eye cutlet, a seafood platter, veal Osso Bucco, barramundi or slow-cooked lamb shoulder.
Lucky Cheng’s hosted the second main course, treating the table to shredded tofu and Peking duck pancakes, as well as Cheng-made wontons with handmade noodles, or shallots and mushrooms with green noodles.
And for dessert, San Churro served up some mouth-watering chocolate tapas plates, which included chocolate-dipped strawberries, mini funnel cake, mini churros, deep-fried chocolate truffles and other chocolate delights!
The evening wrapped up around 10pm and our bloggers left satisfied and overall, pretty happy!
