Bankstown Sports Club is pleased to announce it has committed to using free-range eggs in all of its club-owned restaurants, from this week.
The roll-out will include Greenfield Station Bistro, InTouch Café, Platform One, La Piazza, Lucky Cheng’s, Imperial Jade and the new Basement Brewhouse, which is due to open in November this year. Our restaurants at Baulkham Hills Sports and Bankstown Bowls will also be introducing free-range eggs.
We will be sourcing our eggs from Sunny Queen Farms in Queensland, an Australian-owned company which has passed the CHOICE free range Model Code, meaning there is a maximum of 1500 hens per hectare on their farms.

According to data from consumer group CHOICE, 65% of Australians have opted to buy free-range eggs in the past twelve months, and Bankstown Sports CEO, Mark Condi, acknowledges the importance of this trend in society.
“More and more people are choosing to buy free-range eggs, and by sourcing our produce in a responsible manner, it means we have an opportunity to improve animal welfare and meet the expectations of our customers.
“Switching to free-range is actually going to increase our costs, but we believe our new stock will be of a higher quality and better taste, and are a more natural option”.
