Here at Bankstown Sports we love to bring you feel good stories from our members, guests and local sporting clubs, and this news from our Little Athletics Centre made us all smile.
Zach Facer has been a member of BSLAC for several years and recently celebrated his 10th birthday. Instead of getting presents from his family and friends, Zach asked them to donate the money they would have spent on gifts to the Little Wings charity, to help sick kids in rural NSW.
ZACH’S FUNDRAISER POST:
For my 10th Birthday I decided to make a difference and support Little Wings by raising money for them instead of asking for presents. I have everything I need, so I want to help others who aren't as lucky or healthy as I am. The photo of me above, was actually taken in the Little Wings plane, we helped raise money for them through my Little Athletics Club, so I wanted to raise some extra money for them too.
Little Wings helps to transport sick children from rural New South Wales to hospitals for their medical treatments.
Please help me to help Little Wings by giving whatever you can by using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Little Wings, the more we can help make a difference in these children's lives. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot to me!
Zach originally set himself a target of $500 but has already reached more than $1700, with plenty of people jumping on board to support Zach’s cause.
BSLAC is extremely proud to have members like Zach and his family, and we would like to commend him for the good example he is setting.
Little Wings has also thanked Zach for his generous contribution - https://www.facebook.com/LittleWingsAustralia/
