1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Chefs at Baulkham Hills Sports Club

Located in Baulkham Hills Sports The Gallery is a busy, fast paced 150 seat restaurant. The Event Centre seats up to 200 and caters for social to corporate functions. As an apprentice, you will be responsible for food preparation and presentation in both of these areas.

We are seeking a 1st or 2nd year apprentice who is enthusiastic, creative, dedicated and is willing to learn.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the successful applicant will have a passion for cooking and an attention to detail. You will be involved in the preparation of food and other kitchen duties.

You will have effective communication skills, be a team player and have the ability to work under pressure. You must have flexible availability which includes Friday and Saturday nights, public holidays and split shifts.

Kitchen Hand - Casual/Part-Time

Our Baulkham Hills venue is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to support our busy restaurant and events centre. As a kitchen hand your duties will include:

- General cleaning duties within the kitchen or food prep areas
- Washing up/cleaning of the kitchen equipment
- Basic food preparation as required (assisting cooks)
- Receiving and distribution of goods around venue
- Some heavy lifting

Previous experience in a similar role is essential. The successful applicant must be motivated, highly organised and flexible. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work as part of team is essential. A working knowledge of HACCP and OHS is needed.
